The 17th annual Illinois Statewide Transition Conference, Stepping Stones of Transition is pleased to invite submissions of proposals to present November 3- 4, 2022 in East Peoria, Illinois. Illinois Department of Public Health Covid mitigation guidance will be followed.

The Illinois Center for Transition and Work is seeking submissions for the spring ICTW Symposium being held at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on April 25 and 26. Presentations should focus on topics related to career development and transition from school to work for students with disabilities, with a special emphasis on students with significant disabilities.

Community Resource Mapping is a process used to identify resources in the community that support a student’s transition to work, independent living, and postsecondary education. In this workshop, participants will learn the community resource mapping process and how to use it to maximize transition planning and work-based learning experiences.

Registration is now open for the 16th Annual Illinois Statewide Transition Conference, Nov. 4-5. This year's conference, “Stepping Stones of Transition,” invites participants to imagine the possibilities for students with disabilities in the areas of independent living, education, and training, employment, community integration, health care, and self-advocacy. Conference sessions are organized into four tracks: Education, Health, Community, and Employment. ICTW staff members Stacy Dymond, David Strauser, Nicole Birri, and Stephen Kwiatek are among this year's conference session speakers.
